Are you getting married? Are you committing to each other or renewing your wedding vows? Do you want a civil christening - or naming ceremony - for your baby? Do you want to mark milestones in your life such as a graduation, naming of a boat or retirment?
This is the joint website of four professionally trained Northern Territory civil celebrants, Bilawara Lee, Marika McKenzie, Nancy Batenburg and Yvonne Falckh.
Whether your ceremony is large or small, formal or informal, we enjoy telling your story while weaving in your beliefs, traditions and rituals. We can help you to develop marriage and commitment ceremonies, renewal of vows, croning or wise woman ceremonies, name giving of children, celebrations of life - and any other event that you want to celebrate!
With our creative and collaborative skills, life experiences and professional training and expertise, we can provide you with a memorable and joyous ceremony to share with your family and friends.
NT Celebrants have a strong reputation of providing quality service and knowledgeable assistance as you plan your ceremony. As well as providing you with a range of little ‘extras’, such as FREE use of a decorated signing or presentation table as part of your ceremony, NT Celebrants are renowned for their personal attention, eye for detail, and their expertise and skill in developing a unique and personal ceremony.
So welcome! Please browse for pictures of each celebrant and some information about each NT Celebrant. We look forward to talking with you about your ceremony requirements.
Marika was originally from Canada but has been an active participant in the Darwin community for 18 years. As a professional psychologist and couple counsellor, she is curious about discovering what couples bring into a relationship and how they make it work. Being part of the process of helping couples make legal commitments to each other has added another special dimension to this interest.
Nancy has lived and worked in the Northern Territory since 1971, and after a long career working in the NT as a teacher and educational project manager, is now a small business owner and part-time, external student. With a strong belief in the power of effective collaboration, Nancy’s vision is to provide clients with exactly the ceremony that they want. Becoming a civil marriage celebrant was the culmination of her personal dream, so her celebrant business is called ‘Dream Dancer Celebrations’.
Yvonne is a long-term Territorian and has been a nurse and midwife for 35 years. A skilled negotiator, Yvonne brings a strong professionalism to her celebrant work, and is an advocate for quality and meaningful ceremonies for her clients. She works collaboratively with clients to ensure that ceremonies best reflect their expectations.
